35th Anniversary of the Venice Commission
The year 2025 marked the 35th year of existence of the European Commission for Democracy through Law, the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe.

To celebrate the Venice Commission’s 35 years of advising countries on constitutional and legal reforms, a high-level ceremony was held in the Palazzo Ducale in Venice, Italy, on 11 October 2025.

In addition, on the same day, the exhibition “Democracy through law: from the Serenissima Republic to the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe” was inaugurated. The exhibition was open to the public in Appartamenti del Doge in Palazzo Ducale until 6 January 2026.
