The 20th meeting of the Committee of the Parties to the Istanbul Convention was held in Strasbourg on 2 June 2026.
The Committee elected the following five experts to serve on the Council of Europe’s Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (GREVIO) starting on 1 September 2026 for a term of four years:
• Lara DIMITRIJEVIC (Maltese)
• Païvi HIRVELA (re-elected, Finnish)
• Claudia SEGRE (Italian)
• Petra VOLKE (German)
• Michelle WALSH (Irish)
During the meeting, the Committee also adopted its conclusions in respect of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Iceland, Norway, Romania and Switzerland under its process of supervising the implementation of its recommendations under the baseline evaluation procedure. The conclusions welcome the measures taken and request, where necessary, that further measures be taken within a two-year period.
