On 19 October 2020 the updated HELP course Introduction to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) was launched for the first time on national level, for a group of some 150 civil servants. The course was launched as part of the Council of Europe Project "HELP in the Russian Federation III" and as part of the annual training courses for Russian civil  servants on the implementation of constitutional and international human rights guarantees in Russian law and practice; and opened in Moscow with participation of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejcinovic Buric. Special thanks to the European Studies Institute of MGIMO MFA RF for the cooperation and coordination on the project and course launch. It will be implemented in the next three weeks and will be tutored by the Moscow office "HELP in the Russian Federation III" team.

Introduction to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in its updated version is part of the Council of Europe’s extensive Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) Programme. It is a 5-hour online training course accessible to all through the HELP online platform.

Since its relaunch in March 2020, this online course has become a "best seller" among the catalogue of HELP online courses on human rights, with more than 4 000 users, mainly legal professionals, public authorities, civil society and law students.
