This call for proposals aims to support civil society (CSOs) projects to promote the values, aims and provisions of the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (Istanbul Convention) and dispelling myths and misinformation about it.

The grants will co-fund CSO projects designed to adapt and pilot a methodology jointly developed by Council of Europe, Women Against Violence Europe (WAVE) and UN Women. Projects should present an outline of a communication and advocacy campaign to promote the Istanbul Convention by generating positive narratives and dispelling myths and misinformation regarding the convention following the guidelines attached to this call.

The project shall be carried out by CSOs with expertise and experience in work related to combatting violence against women and domestic violence in one of three pilot countries:

  • Czech Republic
  • Latvia
  • Poland

Throughout the projects’ implementation the Council of Europe will organise accompanying activities to support NGOs in running their campaigns and to strengthen their communication capacities.

Deadline for submission of offers: 18 March 2021, 24:00 CET

The tender can be found here.
