On 27 May, the Department for the Execution of Judgments held a training session for practising lawyers of the Dolj Bar Association in Craiova, Romania. The event was organised together with the Bar association and brought together around 20 legal professionals.
The training focused on the role of lawyers in the execution of the European Court's judgments and on good practices regarding the submission of communications under Rules 9.1 and 9.2 of the Rules of the Committee of Ministers.
The training included examples drawn from important cases concerning Romania, illustrating the relevance of the Court's case-law both for the legal profession and for the day-to-day practice of lawyers, as well as the ways in which lawyers can contributeto the full and effective execution of the Court's judgments.
