Group of Parties to the Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism

The Group of Parties was created by the Parties to the Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism (CETS No. 196) in 2010 as a first stage of the monitoring mechanism envisaged by the CETS 196. From 2011 to 2016 it followed the state of implementation of the CETS 196 through an agreed self-assessment mechanism. It grew into the today’s Consultation of the Parties in 2016, assuming all competences vested in it by Article 30 of the Convention.
