Retour Say No to Violence against Women

Say No to Violence against Women

The 16 days between 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and 10 December, Human Rights Day, are known as the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign, a time to galvanise action to end violence against women and girls around the world.  The “Orange the World” Campaign initiated by the United Nations is part of this effort: the colour orange symbolising a brighter future, free of violence.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic It is time, more than ever to reaffirm collective commitment to stopping all forms of violence against women and the golden standard in this area, the Istanbul Convention.

On this occasion the Council of Europe Office in Georgia joins the campaign and invites everyone to participate in “Orange the World! Orange your Home!” virtual photo exhibition.

To demonstrate your solidarity in eliminating all forms of violence against women we would like to invite all of you to “orange” yourselves, and/or your families, and/or your homes and publish the photo with the hashtag #Orangeworld and #IstanbulConvention on Facebook or send us on >  [email protected] indicating the subject “Orange photo”.

A photo collage will be posted on the Official Facebook Page of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia on 10 December, Human Rights Day.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that photos sent to us will not be copied and used on other websites or social media.
