Training Session for National Training Institutions on Unlocking Behavioural Insights in Legal Decision-Making

On 29 June 2025, an interactive and practical training on Unlocking Behavioural Insights in Legal Decision-Making was held for representatives of Georgia’s national training institutions. Participants included representatives from the Training Centre of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Georgian Bar Association.

The participants discussed how cognitive biases impact fair and just decision making and that judges’, prosecutors’ and lawyers’ awareness of these biases contributes to better decision making.

The training aimed to equip legal professionals with practical tools and knowledge to incorporate behavioural science into judicial and prosecutorial decision-making, fostering more effective, fair and transparent processes.

This training was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe Project “Reinforcing National Execution of the European Court's judgments by Georgia”, implemented within the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2024-2027.
