A Croatian delegation, composed of representatives from the judiciary - including three court Presidents and one Vice President from the pilot commercial courts in Dubrovnik, Split, Varaždin and Zagreb - as well as officials from the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation, visited the High Council of Judges and the Appellate Commercial Court of Lisbon, and the Ministry of Justice of Portugal on 27-28 March 2025.
The participants engaged in fruitful exchanges of best practices on fully digital commercial court procedures to improve their overall efficiency, with a particular focus on paperless workflows. In addition, the participants explored and discussed the potential use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for data collection.
The visit was organised within the framework of the Project "Paperless commercial courts in Croatia". The Project is co-funded by the European Union via the Technical Support Instrument and is being implemented by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the European Commission
