The communication strategy for the Office of the Attorney General is developped under the EU-CoE Joint Project “Attorney General and State Advocate in Malta - Implementation of action plan of offices re-organisation”.

It was presented to and discussed with the staff of the Office on 24 September in Malta.

Strengthening of the communication about the role and activities of the Attorney General is expected to foster accountability and transparency in the Maltese justice sector and improve public trust in it.

The presentation was followed by a discussion regarding the role of the OAG staff in responding to media requests,  the employee empowerment in crisis communication and the importance of regular training to keep pace with the evolving nature of communication methods and platforms.

The Project is co-funded by the European Union via the Technical Support Instrument, and implemented by the Council of Europe, in cooperation with the European Commission.
