Organised by the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE) in co-operation with the Polish Ministry of Justice, the European Conference of Prosecutors met in Warsaw (Poland) on 4 and 5 June 2007.

Prosecutors from the 47 Council of Europe member states discussed ways of intensifying co-operation between prosecution services in the criminal justice field, and so targeting serious crime – including kidnapping, terrorism, trafficking in human beings and clandestine labour – more effectively.

The Council of Europe Consultative Council of European Prosecutors will draw on their conclusions in preparing an opinion on international co-operation in the criminal justice field for adoption in 2007.

The conference was held in Warsaw at the invitation of the National Training Centre for judges and legal officials. Zbigniew Ziobro, Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General of Poland, delivered one of the opening addresses.
