On 26 August 2022, representatives of the Compulsory Enforcement Service of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia, Representation of Armenia on International Legal Matters, international consultant of the Council of Europe and civil society representatives had the opportunity to discuss the issue of late or non-execution of decisions of national courts based on the case law of the European Court of Human Rights.
The participants overviewed the case law of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) and recommendations deriving from the judgments of the ECtHR presented by the
international consultant of the Council of Europe. They also discussed the issues in the context of the national law and practice, as well as analyzed the current legal and practical challenges and possible solutions.
The event was organised in the framework of the Project "Support for the Execution by Armenia in respect of Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights" funded by the Human Rights Trust Fund and implemented by the Council of Europe within the Council of Europe Action Plan for Armenia 2019-2022.
