Interpretation FR/EN

In co-operation with Department of Education of the Council of Europe and Friuli-Venezia-Giulia Region

This action explores the resilience of communities when facing complex and long-term crises – most notably, the lack of democratic participation among younger generations, and if that can be treated as a structural crisis.

Can building up education systems resilience to crisis be a real investment and a true extensive and inclusive participatory process, where educational institutions and local authorities trigger enhance youth participation and critical thinking to safeguard democratic freedoms?

This session will include:

Special address by Ms Alessia Rosolen, Assessor of Friuli-Venezia Giulia for Labour, Training, Education, Research, Universities and the Family: Innovating for delivering quality education at all times.

Case-study: Can Council of Europe’s EDURES initiative be a driver of democratic innovation, fostering a new participatory culture rather than “just” a tool for resilience and guidelines for authorities?

Action - session 4 - From crisis to civic engagement: can building education systems resilience be a blueprint for democratic innovation?
