In co-operation with the Steering Committee for Democracy of the Council of Europe

Assessing the quality of democracy goes beyond institutional indicators and expert analyses — it also depends on citizens’ own perceptions and experiences.

This session will invite participants to reflect on what defines a healthy and responsive democracy today. Through dialogue and collective exchange, the discussion will explore which could be the key measures of democratic resilience, and how citizens themselves can contribute to evaluating and strengthening democratic life.
