Saloua KENNOU SEBEI
President of the Tunisian Women Association for Research and Development

Mrs Salou KENNOU SEBEI, Tunisian national, holds a PhD in Agronomy. She is a community and trade-union activist, and president of the Tunisian Women Association for research and development (AFTURD). She was actively involved in the support of female political participation during the elections of the Tunisian Constituent Assembly in 2011, and during the legislative and presidential elections in 2014. At the community level, she contributed to educational programs and activities. She designed formation programs on gender, as well as textbooks on civic education, human rights, women rights, community organization and teamwork, targeting primarily women and girls in rural areas.
