Ozlem ESKIOCAK
Human Rights Education Programme Coordinator, UNRWA
Turkey
Since 2012 Ms. Ozlem Eskiocak has been managing the Human Rights Education Programme at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), which reaches half a million refugee children in its schools every year. She has overseen the training of 22,000 educators on integrating human rights concepts into regular academic curricula and adopting human rights friendly practices. She has been working on human rights, education, and gender issues in the Middle East for the past eight years and she was previously a youth activist. Ms. Eskiocak holds a Master’s degree in Development Management from the London School of Economics.
