Back Bullying: A public health issue

Bullying: A public health issue

As a direct result of the visibility the Action on Bullying has gained in the local community, the European Union/Council of Europe's Horizontal Facility project “Fighting Bullying and Extremism in the Education System in Albania” was invited by members of the Faculty of Public Health in Tirana to present the findings of the national survey to junior students of the faculty.

During the presentation, project officer Delina Cici provided an overview of the main findings of the national study, focusing on the methodology and further recommendations.

In an interactive and participatory manner, participants discussed the findings focusing on the impact bullying has in the public health. Three members of the class are conducting a survey on bullying as a public health issue in secondary schools in Rrëshen, Albania based on the methodology and questionnaires provided by the study.

This activity served as a great opportunity to discuss the findings and contributed significantly to the sustainability of the Action.
