The 7th edition of the electoral journal ‘Elections and Democracy’ is published, in co-operation with the Supreme Election Commission of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
The edition proposes to electoral stakeholders and voters topics analysed by the election and legal experts and civil society representatives. The readers will have an overview on common court practice - effective legal remedies and tabulation of election results; electoral silence day and contemporary democracies – international and domestic practices; voter confidence and challenges to election integrity; concept of local self-government and municipal elections.
Next year the Supreme Election Commission and Editorial Board will fully take over the publication of the journal. The journal has already engaged the electoral stakeholders and voters and we are looking forward to its next editions.
The journal is published within the framework of the Council of Europe Project ‘Supporting Transparency, Inclusiveness and Integrity of Electoral Practice and Process in Georgia’.
