Training of Trainers on Human Rights Education - young educators for the promotion of human rights

Representatives of various NGOs, Public Defender’s Office, state institutions and Equality Ambassadors have gathered to learn about the human rights education and non-formal educational tools to promote equality and human rights. They have attended a Training of Trainers on Human Rights Education organised by Council of Europe Office in Georgia to apply human rights education methods to raise awareness about the importance of equality and diversity and to address hate speech and discrimination.

The main aim of this training of trainers is to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge needed to become multipliers for the implementation of human rights education activities within their communities.

The participants from Tbilisi and the regions of Georgia were equipped with the knowledge and the skills to organise activities based on the Council of Europe manuals “Compass”, “Bookmarks” and “We CAN!”. The trainers of the Council of Europe will mentor the trainees in the implementation  of these activities.

This activity is implemented in the framework of the Project “Promoting the Effective Protection of Equality and Non-Discrimination in Georgia.” The Project is funded through the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2020-2023.
