Back Launch of the School of Justice Alumni Network

Launch of the School of Justice Alumni Network

The School of Justice Alumni Network was officially launched on 24 May gathering around 90 participants, members of winter and summer schools, court representatives and donor organisations. The event aimed at presenting concept, goals and future plans of the Alumni Network.

The network will establish a platform by providing different activities, such as public lectures, workshops, movie screenings and thematic discussions; it can support innovative ideas by offering small grants. The alumni network will bring the School of Justice to another level that will contribute to its sustainability.

The School of Justice counts about 90 participants: judicial assistants, representatives of court analytical units, judicial interns and graduating law school students from Tbilisi and the regions of Georgia. The fourth round of the school is planned in summer.

The alumni network is supported by the Council of Europe, EU4Justice project and USAID/PROLoG project “Promoting Rule of Law in Georgia”.

The activity was co-organised by the Council of Europe project “Support to the Judicial Reform in Georgia”, funded by voluntary contributions of Bulgaria, Liechtenstein, Lithuania Latvia, Norway, the Slovak Republic and Sweden to support the implementation of the Council of Europe Action plan for Georgia 2016-2019.
