Finalists of the National Moot Court Competition of International Courts revealed

On 16 July the finalists of the national moot court competition of international courts were named by the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia Cristian Urse, and the Deputy Minister of Justice Mikheil Sarjveladze.  Four teams have moved to the final round of the Moot Court competition.

The event was held at the Training Center of Justice attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Justice and contestants.

The Moot Court Competition is an excellent opportunity for all higher education institution students in Georgia to deepen their knowledge in the international law by simulating written and oral pleadings of the International Courts and mostly the European Court of Human Rights.

The event aims at promoting European Convention of Human Rights and implementing at national level.

National Moot Court Competition of International Courts is supported by the EU/CoE Partnership for Good Governance Project "Supporting Criminal Justice Reforms - Tackling Criminal Aspects of Judicial Reform". The Council of Europe supports the event within the framework of the 70th anniversary of the organisation.
