Back Twenty years of Court Police of the Federation of BiH celebrated with improvements in the human rights record among its professionals

Court Police of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina celebrated 20 years since its establishment on 10 October 2019 in Sarajevo. Officers of this succesful police agency are professionaly trained, skilled and equiped to perform the most difficult tasks in dealing with perosns deprived of liberty such as high risk deprivations of liberty, high risk escorts, transports and transfers, close protection of persons on the move, witness protection, contingency situations, etc.

During the past three years, the Court Police of the FBiH invested significant efforts, through projects implemented in BiH by the Council of Europe, in improving knowledge and skills of its officers in observing human rights in their dealings with persons deprived of liberty. To date, a number of internal trainers have been accredited to deliver peer training on human rights modules.

This cooperation with the Council of Europe was recognised today also with a presentation of the thank-offering. Both partners undertook to further this fruitful cooperation in future.

Dear visitor,

Thank you for visiting the website of the Council of Europe Office in Sarajevo. Here you will find information about the activities of our Office, as well as links to other information, news and documents relating to the Council of Europe’s work, such as conventions, reports, and recommendations of this Organisation and its various bodies. Our Office in Sarajevo contributes to this partnership, by providing support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, its authorities, institutions and people to give practical meaning to the principles of human rights, democracy and the rule of law which are common to all 46 member states of the Council of Europe. I hope that you will find the information here thought-provoking and useful, and would welcome your feedback and suggestions which will be used to further improve our website.
