The results of the first call for projects under the Council of Europe’s new Pilot Programme for Series Co-Productions have just been announced.
Following an evaluation by independent experts meeting online, the Council of Europe has decided to support seven series co-productions with a total amount of €3,000,000. Of the seven projects supported in this session, almost two-thirds (64%) of the series creators are women, and with ten national, regional, or minority languages used.

The Pilot Programme for Series Co-Productions is a three-year initiative of the Council of Europe, home of Eurimages. It supports high-quality series made as international co-productions and aims to empower independent producers and foster new relationships.
The 2023 call for projects has been supported by 14 organisations from 13 member States:
Flemish Minister of Media, le Ministère de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, Croatian Audiovisual Centre, Ministry of Culture of Estonia, Ministry of Culture of the Hellenic Republic, National Film Institute - Hungary, Film Fund Luxembourg, Netherlands Film Fund, Ministry of Culture of North Macedonia, Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual - Portugal, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and the Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales (ICAA) - Spain. From 2024 Screen Ireland (IE) and the Lithuanian Film Centre (LT) are joining the initial 14 organisations supporting the Programme.
