On 5-8 October 2020, the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities held its 69th plenary meeting by videoconference. It approved the draft opinions on Croatia and Liechtenstein which will now be sent to the states parties concerned for possible observations in the framework of the confidential dialogue procedure.

On 5 October, the Advisory Committee also adopted the 5th cycle Opinion on Malta following the confidential dialogue procedure held with the authorities since May 2020. The opinion will be sent to the Maltese authorities for possible comments and will be made public in accordance with the provisions of the Committee of Ministers Resolution CM/Res(2019)49.
