Back Taking action against discrimination in physical education and sport

This training resource provides activities that help teachers of physical education to understand how lessons in sport can contribute to the promotion of democracy and human rights. The training unit assists participants in increasing their awareness of Democracy and Human rights as well of discrimination and its prevention. Activities of the resource provide an opportunity to reflect on the complex and contradictory nature of sport and physical education in relation to democracy and human rights, and to develop necessary competences when fighting against discrimination in physical education.

Activities are based on the cooperative learning structures and whole group discussions.
