Back Heathmath: Conflict management training

This Pestalozzi training unit aims to develop and practice conflict management skills, to limit the negative aspects of conflict while increasing the positive ones. Teachers spend a lot of time dealing with conflicts between students, vis-à-vis students and parents, as well as between and vis-à-vis colleagues and management. Conflict has an alphabet that can be learned, which means that no one needs to be conflict illiterate. The overall objective of this training unit is to educate teachers in conflict management in order to help them develop their own conflict resolution skills, emotional intelligence and social skills, which will be valuable management tools in their life as teachers as well as in their everyday life. The activities help the participants to see value in cooperation, develop empathy, cooperation and communication skills and identify their own and others’ feelings, in order to understand causes and responses.
