Back Exploring and working to prevent gender stereotypes in school

The training unit (TU), developed in the Pestalozzi Programme in the Education for the prevention of discrimination (DISC) module, consists of three activities for initial and in-service training.

This TU helps individuals to explore, understand, identify  and prevent gender stereotypes by developing strategies to overcome them through cooperative methods.

Activities suggested in this TU get participants to reconsider their own gender stereotypes, reflect upon their own classroom practices, detect gender discrimination and act to prevent discrimination through critical literacy, knowledge and skills.
