This training unit is aimed at developing the capacity to design and implement lessons and activities relating to topics of education for family planning, sexual and reproductive health. A holistic methodological approach to sexuality is used as the basis for this training unit's activities.

The training unit helps to increase teacher confidence in conducting specific activities in the field of sexual education, as well as increase their skills and knowledge in sexuality in relation to the fields of economics and home education. Moreover, participants develop competencies in understanding the social factors that influence sexuality, preventing violation of sexual and reproductive rights, as well as different methodological approaches related to the topic of sexuality.

Training unit activities are based on the methodology of cooperative learning, including group activities, brainstorming and critical analyses, vastly increasing the participant's liklihood of learning. The training unit can be beneficial for secondary school education, especially when teaching in the areas of home economics and health.
