GREVIO reviews first state report with representatives of Monaco

On 8 November 2016, for the first time, GREVIO considered a state report under its first (baseline) evaluation procedure. It reviewed the report submitted by Monaco and held a constructive dialogue with Monegasque representatives on this occasion.

The Monegasque delegation was led by Rémi Mortier, Permanent Representative of Monaco to the Council of Europe, who was supported by Gabriel Revel, Deputy to the Permanent Representative, and composed of various representatives from Monaco: Sylvie Louche, Department of Social Welfare and Social Services (Ministry of Health and Social Affairs), Valérie Viora, Human Resources and Training Department, Frédéric Pardo, International Law, Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms Department and Anne Nègre, Inspectorate General of Home Affairs (General Secretariat of the Government), Antonella Sampo-Couma, Directorate of Judicial Services (Justice),  Isabelle Castelli, Directorate of Public Safety (Ministry of the Interior) and Corinne Magail, Directorate of International Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Co-operation).

Monaco is one of the very first countries together with Austria  to be submitted GREVIO’s evaluation. A GREVIO delegation will carry out a visit to Monaco from 5 to 7 December 2016 in order to assess the situation on the ground and report back to GREVIO. GREVIO will draw up and adopt its evaluation report on Monaco by the summer of 2017.
