The 13th meeting of the Committee of the Parties to the Istanbul Convention was held in Strasbourg in hybrid format on 5-6 December 2022.

During the meeting, the Committee adopted recommendations on the implementation of the Istanbul Convention for nine state parties: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Iceland, Norway, Romania and Switzerland. The Committee also held an exchange of views with Zita Gurmai, General Rapporteur on violence against women of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, on the Assembly’s role in monitoring the implementation of the Istanbul Convention.

Finally, the Committee of the Parties re-elected the Bureau members, composed of Marie Fontanel, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of France elected as Chair, Domenik Wanger, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative of Liechtenstein, elected as First Vice-Chair and Andrej Slapničar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative of Slovenia, as Second Vice-Chair.
