The City of Dudelange, its service Ensemble quartiers Dudelange and Respect.lu, in partnership with other associative actors such as ikl - Centre d'éducation interculturelle, ZpB - Zentrum fir politesch Bildung, or Alter & Ego Asbl., invite everyone to take part in the numerous events organised within the framework of the month of respect, taking place in Dudelange from May 16th to June 18th 2021.
The month of respect draws attention to the city of Dudelange which, thanks to a long history of migration, has become a true intercultural city over the years. The word 'respect' and the values it implies, such as resilience, equality, solidarity, perspectives, empathy, communication and tolerance, are the leitmotifs of this month.
The month of respect will take the form of interactive activities such as training sessions for the general public or socio-educational services, debate evenings and film-debate sessions, conferences for the general public, discoveries of the heritage, and it will include the regular presence of the organisers at the Am Duerf square in Dudelange, and an information stand at the market every Thursday during the month of respect, in order to maintain or create a direct contact with the population and to discuss respect and its different forms.
The idea behind this project is that respect in interpersonal relations is a lifelong learning process. In order to continue to live in a respectful, tolerant and cohesive society, such experiences of respectful practices seem crucial.

Respect.lu's main missions are: prevention, i.e. recognising and identifying radical tendencies in a preventive approach; accompaniment, i.e. offering listening, support and accompanying measures directly to the person in the process of radicalisation and to their environment; and de-radicalisation, i.e. accompanying radicalised people in Luxembourg.
