A new web portal “Patchwork Moraria” presenting the diversity of products, flavors and services provided by migrant entrepreneurs from the diverse Mouraria neighborhood of Lisbon in one virtual space was launched on 29 October 2016.

The programme of the launch included a guided tour through the neighborhood presenting the stores of the entrepreneurs  featured on the portal. The tour was led by local guides and included the active participation of the traders involved, allowing to know the shops, but also one of the most emblematic historical sites. At the end of the visit, a public discussion and a concert took place. The portal results from the DELI project on migrant enterpreneurship carried out in the context of Intercultural cities.

Patchwork Mouraria is a project of Renewing Mouraria Association. It is carried out in partnership with a collective of retailers who came together to preserve and communicate the cultural and commercial diversity of the neighborhood.
