On 7 November the Azerbaijani version of an online HELP course on Gender Equality and Gender Mainstreaming was launched. This newly developed course is aimed at a broad audience, to include students, civil society organisations, women’s rights groups - anyone interested in advancing gender equality.
The course was presented at a launching event by Council of Europe experts and national HELP tutors, who guided participants through the processes of registration, navigation, enrolment, and completion of the modules. Delivered in a hybrid format, the event attracted around 40 participants from diverse backgrounds.
Petr Sich, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Baku, encouraged participants to enrol, emphasising that the course helps the integration and promotion of gender equality in both professional and personal life.
Maryam Haji-Ismayilova, International Aid and Cooperation Officer from the EU Delegation in Azerbaijan, invited participants to apply the insights and tools from the course to inspire change within their communities and adopt gender-sensitive practices that foster positive transformation in society.
This event was held within the project "Preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence in Azerbaijan”, which is part of the "Partnership for Good Governance" joint programme co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe.
