Equality and diversity at the Open Air Festival in Tbilisi

For the third time, the Council of Europe and the Open Air Festival in Tbilisi collaborated to promote human rights at one of the most vibrant and popular music events in Georgia on 23-25 June 2023.

Teams of four projects of the Council of Europe joined forces to showcase the values and activities of the Council of Europe at the “Human Rights Corner” in Lisi Wonderland "Freedom village”.

The Human Rights Corner welcomed hundreds of guests

Guided by the Council of Europe project teams, over 700 guests participated in quizzes to raise awareness on equality and diversity, sexism and gender stereotypes and on the role of schools and parents in cultivating democratic culture among youth.  Additionally, the corner hosted discussions on myths and realities related to physical and mental health and offered family yoga sessions and board games to children.

The treasure hunt game was one of the most engaging events where participants had to answer questions on various Council of Europe human rights issues. The winners received Council of Europe prizes.

This year, the Council of Europe Equality Bus offered free rides to festival guests. On top of the comfortable ride, festival guests engaged in interesting discussions about equality and diversity with experts and celebrities while on board.
