A delegation of the Committee of Experts is visiting Poland this week from 27-31 March 2023 to evaluate progress made in the protection and promotion of regional and minority languages. The delegation is meeting with the representatives of the regional or minority languages speakers and the competent authorities in Opole, Warsaw and Bialystok. This is the fourth monitoring visit of the Committee to Poland. Following this visit, the Committee will draw up its evaluation report on the implementation of the Language Charter in Poland containing specific findings and recommendations for follow-up. The report is expected to be published in 2023.
