The Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages held its 75th plenary meeting from 14 to 17 March 2023 in a hybrid format with most of its members present in Strasbourg and some joining online.
During the meeting, the Committee adopted three evaluation reports on the application of the Charter by Austria, Serbia and Liechtenstein, which will be transmitted to the authorities for possible comments within a deadline of two months after transmission. The reports and the state comments will then be made public and submitted to the Committee of Ministers.
The Committee also adopted two mid-term reports on the implementation of its recommendations for immediate action, one by Norway and one by Cyprus (to be published soon).
The Committee will hold its next plenary meeting in June 2023 in Strasbourg.
