60 women from 25 political parties coming from different regions of Ukraine participated in the Party Innovation Hub for Women held in Kyiv on 2-4 November 2018. During three days, they learned, discussed and shared experiences, knowledge and skills on how to make the activities of political parties more accountable, open, transparent, gender sensitive and responsive to the needs of society and voters via innovative tools and techniques.
Among speakers and trainers of the Hub, there were high level officials from the Government and the Parliament of Ukraine, leading international and national experts, representatives of different civil society organisations and international community.
Party Innovation Hub for Women became the first in a series of alike events aimed at:
- establishing a networking platform for women representatives of different political parties from regions, as well as enhancing their professional capacity and leadership skills;
- using more innovative and digital solutions in elections and campaigning, political party finance and transparency, general party management, outreach and communication, and policy making by political parties;
- increasing the accountability and transparency of political parties in order to ensure effective dialogue between parties and voters.
The Party Innovation Hub for Women was organized by the Council of Europe* in cooperation with International IDEA, Agency for Legislative Initiatives and Ukrainian School of Political Studies.
