The Data Protection Unit will attend for the first time a global event on payments, identification and digital security to raise awareness on the right to data protection and the relevance, at global level, of Convention 108+
The Conference dedicates a specific track to privacy and data protection, where Convention 108+ will be presented with a view to highlighting its benefits and importance for countries around the globe, notably the ones willing to implement identity programmes. A full day will be devoted to identity challenges for African governments, focusing on legal and digital identity projects implemented in the region.
