Convention 108+ to protect personal data also in Latin America

Latin American countries are increasingly involved in personal data protection and many are turning to Council of Europe to access its Convention and take part in its work or to seek assistance in developing their legal frameworks in that important area.

Next to an array of excellent international panelists, Patrick Penninckx, Head of information Society Department, took part in the opening plenary session of the CPDPLatam conference (14-15-16 July 2021), emphasizing the benefit of Convention 108+ in the rise of data protection in Latin America.
