The Luxembourg National Museum of Iron Ore is set up in the galleries of the former “Walert” mine in Rumelange. Its mission is to present the history of iron mines in the south of Luxembourg, from the 19th century to 1997. An extensive network of tracks covering main and secondary galleries retrace that history and illustrate the life in the Luxemburgish mines through diorama, objects and mining machinery. The Luxembourg National Museum of Iron Ore is an Anchor Point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
