Description
The Hansa Coking Plant (1927-1928) is a former industrial complex in Dortmund-Huckarde. The seat of the Foundation for the Preservation of Industrial Monuments and Historical Culture is located on the premises of the Coking Plant. Since 2010, the former training workshop (Lehrwerkstatt) has been used as an exhibition space.
The Foundation for the Preservation of Industrial Monuments and Historical Culture (est. 1995) was founded by the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and RAG AG with the task of preserving listed industrial facilities, making them accessible to the public, and carrying out researches.
