Ensuring Sustainable Democratic Governance and Human Rights in the Southern Mediterranean (SNAC 3 Jordan)
The foundations for the Council of Europe’s cooperation with Jordan in the fight against corruption and money laundering have been established within the framework of the SNAC 2 Project. Since then, the Council of Europe has been supporting Jordanian authorities and specifically the Jordanian Integrity and Anti-corruption Commission (JIACC) in implementing anti-corruption reforms in the country.
SNAC 3 will provide support to the JIACC with capacity building, legislative and risk assessment work, as well as institutional measures. A series of trainings will enhance the capacities of relevant counterparts in detection and prevention of conflict of interests and the verification of declarations, integrity testing techniques and good practices and last but not least, in processing whistleblower complaints. The project will also promote the awareness and role of the private sector in the prevention and fight against corruption.
