The Government of Georgia has approved National Strategy of Georgia on Fight against Terrorism. The document has been prepared by the Permanent Interagency Commission established under the Government Decree. It sets forth the threats and challenges in terms of terrorism and extremism facing the country, as well as the unified vision, purposes, and objectives of the Government that are intended to tackle them. For the purposes of the three-year strategy, its relevant Action Plan has been elaborated as well. The Strategy pays particular attention to the collection and analysis of terrorism, extremism and radicalization-related information by state authorities within their competence.
