Back Working group meeting on targeted financial sanctions

On 8-9 February 2018 the joint EU/Council of Europe Project against Economic Crime in Kosovo* (PECK II) organised the working group meeting on targeted financial sanctions related to terrorism financing and financing of proliferation. Working Group members include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Financial Intelligence Unit, Ministry of Justice, Central Bank, State Prosecution, Police, Customs and Agency for Management of Sequestrated and Confiscated Assets. The Working Group discussed the revision process of the Law on Implementation of International Sanctions following the adoption of relevant Concept Document by the Government in December 2017. The Working Group members commenced the drafting process of the law with the aim at aligning it with international standards and practice regarding targeted financial sanctions, namely Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendations 6 and 7, other FATF guidance as well as related UN Security Council resolutions.
