Back French authorities host an Albanian delegation on an exchange visit

Representatives of the High Inspectorate for the Declaration and Audit of Assets and Conflict of Interests of the Republic of Albania (5 men and 9 women) participated in an exchange visit in France. The participants had the opportunity to meet with their counterparts and discuss anti-corruption reforms and ways for enhancing international cooperation. The delegation was received by the Direction for Criminal Affairs and Pardon of the Ministry of Justice, the High Authority on Transparency in Public Life, the French Anti-Corruption Agency, the Central Office for the Fight against Corruption and Financial and Tax Offences of the Ministry of Interior, the French National Financial Prosecution Office and the Justice International Cooperation Agency in Paris Office. Both the French and Albanian counterparts presented their respective mandates, institutional set-up, latest legislative developments, and exchanged experience and practices concerning investigation of corruption cases especially involving the high-ranking officials and anti-corruption and justice reforms. They also presented the recently adopted anti-corruption strategies and plans that aim to systematise the detection of corruption risks and their prevention. Both delegations also emphasized the role of cooperation with law enforcement agencies and discussed challenges pertaining to the establishment of an electronic system on asset declaration and conflict of interest.
