During its 12th plenary meeting, held on 18-20 November 2025, the CDADI held elections to appoint its Chair, Vice-Chair, and three Bureau members.
The composition of the Bureau is as follows:
- Käthlin SANDER (Estonia) was elected as Chair for the calendar year 2026;
- Viktor KUNDRÁK (Czechia) was elected as Vice-Chair for the calendar year 2026;
- Corinna TAMMENMAA (Finland) and Mattia PERADOTTO (Italy) were elected as Bureau members for the calendar years 2026 - 2027 and Kerstin SITTE (Austria) for the calendar year 2026;
Furthermore, the CDADI appointed Lena REINSCHMIDT (Germany) as Rapporteur on Gender Equality, Elisabeth MASSIN (Belgium) as Rapporteur on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Kerstin SITTE (Austria) as Rapporteur on Environment and Equality, and Erik ADELL HELLSTRÖM (Sweden) as Rapporteur on Equality and Democracy, for the calendar years
2026 – 2027.
The CDADI members and the newly elected Chair bid farewell to Erik ADELL HELLSTRÖM (Sweden), the outgoing president of the CDADI, Dominique STEIGER-LEUBA (Switzerland), the outgoing Vice-Chair of the CDADI, as well as to the outgoing Bureau members Kerstin SITTE (Austria), Viktor KUNDRÁK (Czechia) and Sean FINCH (United-Kingdom).
The CDADI will implement its mandate for the years 2026 and 2027 together with the well-established Committee of Experts on Roma and Traveller Issues (ADI-ROM), Committee of Experts on Intercultural Inclusion (ADI-INT) and Committee of Experts on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression and Sex Characteristics (ADI-SOGIESC) and five working groups on deliverables regarding (1) hate speech and hate crime, (2) national minorities, (3) intersectional discrimination, (4) equality mainstreaming, and (5) artificial intelligence.
