Support to improving the enforcement of judgements concerning child custody in the Republic of Moldova

5 sessions of online training were organised in November-December 2022, following the development of “Methodological Guidelines on improving the enforcement of judgements concerning the determination of the residence and access to the applicants’ children”, based on the findings of the judgements of the European Court for Human Rights in the Bordeianu v. the Republic of Moldova and the related group of cases. Approximately 180 enforcement agents and 25 judges were trained to increase the quality of judgements for this category of cases and enforce them, in line with the best interests of the child and international good practices.

These Methodological Guidelines have been developed in the framework of the CEPEJ project by Mr. Gheorghe Stratulat, judge at the Chisinau Court, in cooperation with Dovile Satkauskiene, Director of the Chamber of Enforcement Agents of Lithuania, with the contribution from the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. The document will be updated soon.

This activity has been organised within the framework of the Project “Support to further strengthening the efficiency and quality of the judicial system in the Republic of Moldova”, funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe in their Partnership for Good Governance II.
