Capacity-building sessions on CEPEJ performance indicators for courts in Kosovo*

On 14-15 September 2022, 45 participants from all courts attended the training on CEPEJ performance indicators organized in coordination with the Justice Academy and the Kosovo Judicial Council. The experts, Ms Marina Naumovska-Milevska and Ms Anna Skrjabina, presented the main CEPEJ tools, in particular the time management guidelines, the guide on timeframes for judicial proceedings and the study on case-weighting, providing also concrete examples of how these tools are used in European countries. Through groups exercises and breakout sessions, participants were trained in calculating and analyzing CEPEJ performance indicators such as, the Clearance Rate, the Disposition Time and the age of pending cases and how to read the dashboards generated by the Case Management and Information System (CMIS).

This activity is organised by the KoSEJ II Action “Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Kosovo”, which is part of the joint programme entitled "Horizontal Facility of the Western Balkans and Turkey II", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe, in coordination with the “Dashboard Western Balkans” CEPEJ regional project.
