Back 5-6 May 2022: CCPE co-organises European Conference of Prosecutors

The European Conference of Prosecutors is taking place on 5-6 May 2022 at the seat of the Regional Assembly in Palermo, Italy, within the framework of the Italian Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. The Conference is promoted by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Supreme Court of Cassation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice of Italy, in co-operation with the Council of Europe.

The Conference brings together Prosecutors General and other legal professionals from 46 member States of the Council of Europe, as well as 8 non-member States. It includes a plenary session and three thematic sessions on specific topics: 1) prosecutorial independence, autonomy and accountability; 2) investigation and prosecution of environmental crimes; 3) financial crimes in the virtual environment. The final session is taking place in the presence of the President of the Republic of Italy.

The CCPE is represented by Mr Antonio Vercher Noguera (Spain), current President of the CCPE, as well as by Mr Antonio Mura (Italy), former President of the CCPE and current member of the CCPE Working Group, and other CCPE members who are making presentations and remarks in all working sessions of the Conference.
