Data protection commissioner

At its 27th meeting from 29 November to 2 December, the Consultative Committee of the Convention for the protection of individuals with regard to automatic processing of personal data (T-PD) elected Ms Eva Souhrada-Kirchmayer (Austria) as Council of Europe Data Protection Commissioner. The Council of Europe Data Protection Commissioner is in charge of overseeing that data protection rules are respected for all personal data collected and processed by the Council of Europe.
